To Work Safely In The Cold?
Protective clothing is needed and should be selected to suit the temperature, weather conditions (e.g., wind speed, rain), level and duration of activity, and job design. These factors are important to consider so that you can regulate the amount of heat and perspiration you generate while working. If the work pace is too fast or if the type and amount of clothing are not properly selected, excessive sweating may occur. The clothing next to body will become wet and the insulation value of the clothing will decrease dramatically. This increases the risk for cold injuries.
- Clothing should be worn in multiple layers.
- The inner layer should provide insulation and be able to "wick" moisture away from the skin to help keep it dry.
- The additional layers of clothing should provide adequate insulation for the weather conditions under which the work is being done.
Super Bomber Jacket
The Super Bomber Jacket is made from a heavyweight 100% polyester with PU coating and sewn on reflective tape. The jacket features: two-way heavy duty zip front with storm flap; fleece lined collar; 2 lower bellows pockets with flaps; security and phone pockets; knitted storm cuffs and a concealed hood. Available in S-5XL. ANSI Class 3 compliant.
350 Series Parka
The 350 Series Parka has seam sealed construction with thermal insulation for added warmth. The parka features 2" 3M brand silver reflective tape. The storm cuff keeps wind and snow out of critical areas. Also includes a hidden collar hood and adjustable cuffs. Pockets: two outside lower slash pockets with zippers and storm flaps; one outside upper radio pocket; one hidden inside wallet pocket with storm flap; and on inside general pupose pocket. Parkas are available in both high visibility lime (9662) and orange (9663), in sizes M-5XL. ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 3 compliant.
